Imagine a tree standing tall in a forest. What has it witnessed? whose voices has it heard? and, what does it remember?

Memories of a tree is an installation that answers these questions by turning trees in a living archive of sound. Visitors are invited to hold illuminated coconut shells up to their ear, evoking the feeling of tree talking to them through coconut shell/cup telephones we used to make as kids. The tree regales you with it's memories of seasons it has experienced and sounds of wildlife it has heard.
